‘She is unstable in love’

A Dzivaresekwa Extension man is grieving over his ex-wife who allegedly has an unstable love life.

Tigere Office complained at the Harare Civil Court last week about his ex-wife Nyasha Mutendebvure for not having one steady relationship.

This was after Nyasha dragged Tigere to court, claiming maintenance for the two children they had together.

“I want US$500 maintenance for the upkeep of Tigere’s two children.

“My brother in Botswana is the one who was assisting me to pay for the children’s school fees when Tigere left me for the past four years.

“Tigere is not even aware that his Grade Seven child is going to attend a school that costs US$300 (a term) next year.

“All I know is that Tigere is a welder, who realizes an income of about US$700 every month.

“Everything is now difficult because I am unemployed.

“Right now it is like he wants me to take care of our four-year-old child and the one in Grade seven alone,” said Nyasha.

In response, Tigere said:

“I cannot afford US$500 that Nyasha is claiming.

“Am offering US$10 cash and groceries worth US$20 every month.

“I am not employed like she is claiming and piece jobs are my source of income.

“After all, I am assisting Nyasha to pay fees that is worth US$5 at the school our older child is learning.

“The problem I have with my ex-wife is that anoroorwa roorwa.

“We stay in the same neighbourhood with her and my new family in Dzivaresekwa extension so I notice her movements.

“Nyasha’s two children come to eat at my new house together with my two other children whilst she is not even around.

“She does not appreciate yet I work every day to raise US$2 to buy vegetables to feed my family together with Nyasha’s family.”

Margistarate Barbra Mateko deferred the matter.
