Magaya,TB Joshua clash

VISITING celebrity preacher John Chi’s maiden two-day crusade in Harare has clashed with a three-day crusade of Walter Magaya of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries which will take place just 40km away from Harare.

John Chi is a Cameroonian preacher who reportedly served as TB Joshua’s wiseman in Nigeria for some years before he moved to start his own Ark of God Covenant Ministries in his home country.

Interestingly, both preachers claim to have been groomed by Nigerian TB Joshua at the celebrity cleric’s Synagogue Church of all Nations (Scoan).

The visiting Ark of God Covenant Ministries leader headlines a two-day crusade at Glamis Arena in the capital from yesterday and it is expected to end on today (March 24).

The event will run under the theme “Zimbabwe for Christ”.

On the other hand, Magaya who commands a huge following in the country, will hold a three-day crusade in Chitungwiza which kicked off yesterday and is expected to end tomorrow.

Magaya’s crusade to be held at Unit L Ground in Chitungwiza, an area where he grew up will run under the theme “Back to Roots”.

The two big crusades are expected to “fight for crowds” during the period under review.

Sheepgate Church founder Tendai Kapondoro, who is hosting John Chi, said they have invited almost everyone to the event.

“The event will have programmes that include pastors and government officials, including Mirriam Chikukwa and Walter Mzembi who have already confirmed their attendance.

“Mzembi is going to deliver a speech on religious tourism.

“Apart from government officials, we have invited almost everybody to grace the occasion and these include Magaya, Emmanuel Makandiwa and mapositori among others.”

Kapondoro said Zimbabweans will get to know the truth pertaining how T.B Joshua ?operates during the two-day event.

“The truth shall be revealed on the event.

“Chi is known for drawing tens of thousands per single day wherever he goes and thousands are going to be transformed,” he said.
