Opposition Accuses European Union of Funding 'Secessionists'

The accusation is made by Franck Hubert Ateba, co-founder and former activist of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC), led by Maurice Kamto, invested by his party, presidential candidate next, which should be held between the September 14 and October 14, 2018.

In a broadcast of private TV STV, the former Deputy Secretary General of the MRC, in charge of inspection and development, made revelations, about the activities of the European Union in Cameroon.

The former MRC executive accuses the European Union of being ready to finance the popular uprisings in Cameroon.

Opposition Accuses European Union of Funding 'Secessionists'

In a viral video on the internet, the opponent says, "I'm not telling you anything about organizations like Freedom House, who gave money to people, to do the uprising in Cameroon."

Before adding, "in 2011, I can tell you hand on heart that the European Union, was ready to finance the uprising in Cameroon with a number of chancelleries".

The statement is like a bomb in Cameroon. The author of the remarks is not worried. The European Union has not yet made any denial of these accusations in connection with the 2011 presidential election.
