Takura’s Mungandidii video out

AWARD-WINNING hip hop singer, Takura, released an accompanying video to his 2016 hit song Mungandidii on Saturday.

It is said the video should have been released earlier this year but the team suffered delays in the hands of the producers.

However, the delay is said to have helped perfect the video which has since reached 12 000 views and is currently trending on number 1.

“We suffered delays at the hands of the directing team. We originally had it scheduled for release for end of Feb or early March.

“We were going for fun, light, bold and humorous but honestly the full expression of that vision is not entirely represented in the final product.

“Personally I’m notoriously competitive, number 1 is the only number that truly excites me in life, so right now we are truly motivated to keep pushing and improving,” said Tannia Ngwena from KOSHA Management & Jungle Entertainment Ventures.

Takura’s team expressed pride in their number one spot on both iTunes and YouTube as they had been on number 24 a day after the release of the video.

Mungandidii was shot around the CBD and some shots from the video were taken at Stoddart in Mbare.

The musician is eyeing a million views and his manager, Tannia said that in the industry if one is not aiming for at least a million views on their assets they are not running towards gold.

“We are eyeing 1 million views for our Blaqs Vusa produced video.

“I would say it does though I always wish to do way better than I would have done.

“I’m nonetheless satisfied, I need to remind myself all the time that I can do better than that so to me being satisfied would be luxury,” Takura told H-Metro.

Boss Kedha, Bhutisi, Comic Pastor, Dj Tamuka, Take Chidz, Dj Oxygen, Dj Croks and Dj Towers all made appearances in the video.

Takura promised to release more videos during the course of the year and said he has been working on collaborations.

He will also be releasing an album later this year.
