War Ambazonia: Messi Messi Tackles Paul Biya And Proposes A Way Out Of Crisis

Former Director General of the now defunct Cameroonian Bank Corporation, now in exile in Cameroon, President of the Democratic Rally of Cameroonian People for Change (Rdpcc), Robert Messi Messi proposes an international dialogue under the aegis of the former Secretary General of the UN, Koffi Annan.

The Anglophone crisis has reached a stage of unprecedented gravity following the escalation of violence and bloodshed, the primary responsibility of which is to President Paul Biya who has not hesitated to instrumentalize our valiant troops against the English-speaking population. now assimilated to terrorists.

I suggest that an international dialogue be held under the chairmanship of a renowned African personality such as former UN Secretary-General Koffi Anan. A dialogue in which Presidents Biya and Buhari each send a high-level representative. The African Union, the Commonwealth and La Francophonie would attend as witnesses. This could be done under the auspices of the United Nations General Secretariat.

What is certain, and I am deeply convinced, is that this crisis has become so serious that it can no longer be solved in a purely national context. Any solution to be viable will require a fair distribution of oil revenues between the English and French speaking communities of the country. We must become once again a single nation, a single people, united under the same flag.

This is the new slogan that I propose for Cameroon Nouveau that I propose and that could result in the addition of a second yellow star on the red band. The two stars symbolizing Anglophone Cameroon and Francophone Cameroon coexist peacefully and equally in the new republic.

The election of a presidential ticket in which the president would be anglophone and the vice-president francophone or vice-versa) would complete the building and ensure a peaceful transition in this election year 2018. More generally, both stars would symbolize the coexistence within the same Republic, Cameroon of two official languages (English and French) but also two distinct legal and educational systems, in short, two different ways of living together.

It is useless to seek here a harmonization that would be imposed from above. Let us accept our differences and integrate them peacefully into one whole without the need to blow up the common house. Accept to remain Cameroonian, as we were at the time of reunification and as we will remain in all circumstances. In a word, let us not make useless wars or new identities. Let's just stay Cameroonian.
